We invite you to comment on the draft Nemadji River Watershed Restoration and Protection Strategy (WRAPS) Report Update 2026.
The Nemadji River Watershed in the Northeast region of Minnesota has found two impairments in two stream reaches that were assessed as “impaired” or not meeting water quality standards. In addition, some water resources already meeting standards need additional protection.
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) prepares reports that help direct future restoration or protection work. A WRAPS report uses existing reports, monitoring results, and other information to develop strategies for restoring polluted waters and protecting healthy ones.
