Met Council Environmental Services L32A Lift Station EAW

We invite you to comment on the draft Metropolitan Council (MCES) L32A Lift Station EAW in Hennepin and Anoka counties.

The Twin Cities’ Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES) proposes to decommission an aging wastewater lift station and construct a new, larger lift station in the northwest metro area to meet growing capacity needs. Project improvements will include construction of a new lift station along the Mississippi River in Fridley, decommissioning of the existing lift station across the Mississippi River in Brooklyn Park, and rehabilitation of pipes crossing the Mississippi River.

The Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) is not a decision and does not determine whether the project moves forward. It is an information-gathering document used to inform decision-makers including those issuing land use and environmental permits that are required for the project. The environmental review process provides an opportunity for public input during the public comment period.
