The City of Sartell has applied for the reissuance of a solid waste facility permit for its facility located at 4th Avenue South, Sartell, MN 56377. The facility is designed to dispose of up to 690,310 cubic yards of industrial solid waste, including all cover materials. The draft solid waste permit incorporates new plans, including an updated Industrial Solid Waste Management Plan to allow for the acceptance of new types of industrial solid waste. The changes were made to account for the facility’s new waste stream and ownership.
All active landfills, solid waste, and recycling facilities in Minnesota are required to have a solid waste permit. A solid waste permit is good for 10 years. If conditions change and modifications to the permit are necessary, the MPCA may review and amend the permit.
